O’Level Subjects and Requirements
Your O’leve result plays a vital role in deciding whether you are qualified to study Science Education. You are required to have five (5) SSCE credit passes which must include the following subjects:
1). English Language,
2). Mathematics.
3) Two (2) other Science subjects.
4). And any other subject.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION AND REMARKS
1). UNIPORT accepts the following:
a). For the Chemistry option, Biology in place of Mathematics.
b). For Biology, Computer Science, and Mathematics/Statistics options, Chemistry or Physics is accepted in place of Mathematics. Same as Computer Education.

2). EBSU accepts TC II with merit/credit passes in relevant subjects. It also accepts a pass in English Language Same as Computer Education.
JAMB Subject Combination For Science Education
UTME candidates should be informed that English Language is compulsory for Science Education. The other three (3) JAMB UTME subjects include:
1). Three (3) relevant Science or NBC subjects.

2). UNIZIK requires the subject of study and any two science subjects.

Direct Entry Admission Requirements For Science Education
There are two (2) well-known ways of gaining admission in Nigeria; UTME and Direct Entry. So, if you are not using UTME, then you should ensure that you meet the direct entry admission requirements for Science Education.
1). Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in relevant Science subjects which should include the candidate’s proposed course.
2). NCE merit/credit passes plus TC II merit or SSCE credit in relevant subjects.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION AND REMARKS
1). EBSU is the Same as Computer Education.
2). UNN accepts candidates with ND in other areas at distinction, merit, or credit level. Those who pass the University’s requirements in addition to credit in any teaching subject may be considered for Direct Entry admission but will run the four (4)-year program.
