O’Level Subjects and Requirements

First of all, candidates should note that their O’Level result plays a vital role in deciding whether they will be eligible for admission or not. You may not be considered eligible to apply for admission if you don’t have the required O’Level subject for the course.

So, to study Primary Education Studies you are required to have at least five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes which must include:

1). English Language.
2). Mathematics.
3). And any (3) other relevant Arts/Social Sciences subjects.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION AND REMARKS

1). ABUJA requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes or its equivalent which must include English Language, Mathematics, and three (3) other relevant Arts/Social Sciences subjects

2). LAGOS and IAUED require an ‘O’ Level credit pass in Mathematics.

JAMB Subject Combination for Primary Education Studies

First of all, UTME candidates should be informed that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Thus, the remaining three (3) JAMB subjects required for Primary Education Studies include the following:

1). Any three (3) subjects.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION AND REMARKS

1). IAUED requires one (1) relevant Science and any two (2) Science subjects.

Direct Entry Admission Requirements

For those candidates who will be applying directly instead of going through UTME, then you all are required to satisfy the following Primary Education Studies direct entry requirements:

1). Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from relevant subjects.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION AND REMARKS

1). ABUJA accepts two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in relevant subjects/NCE with a minimum of 10 points plus UTME requirements.

2). ILORIN accepts an ‘O’ level pass in Maths this is applicable for candidates who combine Primary Education Studies with subjects other than Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, and Biology.
