1). UNN requires five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language and any four (4) Social Science or Arts Subjects.
2). REDEEMERS requires five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes which should include Mathematics, English Language, and three (3) subjects in Social Sciences or Arts.
3). UNICAL is the same as Sociology.
4). UNILAG requires ‘O’ level credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, and any two (2) of Government/History, Economics, Geography, and Civic Education and one of Literature in English, Christian Religious Studies/ Islamic Studies, any Nigerian Language and Biology.
5). UNIBEN requires five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes to include Mathematics, English Language, Economics, Government, Geography, or any other Social Science subject.
JAMB Subject Combination For Social Work

Direct Entry Admission Requirements for Social Work
Candidates who are not willing to apply for admission through UTME should ensure they meet the direct entry admission requirements for Social Work.
i). Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in any subject.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION AND REMARK
1). UNIBEN accepts the following in addition to the UTME requirements either:
a). Two (2) ‘A’ level passes to include Government or History.
b). ND (upper credit) in relevant programs which must be from a recognized Polytechnic/College of Technology.
c). HND (lower credit) in relevant programs from a recognized college of Technology or polytechnic.
d). NCE credit in a Social Science subject which must be from a recognized College of Education. In addition, candidates should have at least overall merit.
2). UNN accepts two (2) ‘A’ level passes in addition to the UTME requirements.
3). UNILAG accepts the following:
a). Very good passes in three (3) ’A’-level/JUPEB subjects which should include any three (3) of Economics, Geography, History, Government, and Christian Religious Studies/ Islamic Studies.
b). ND Social Development and Administration (SDA) with one year post-qualification experience.
