O’Level Requirements to Study Agricultural Economics and Farm Management
As a UTME candidate, you are required to have five (5) SSCE credit passes in the required O’Level subjects which will be listed below. Please note that the O’Level subject combination for Agricultural Economics and Farm Management is not limited to only WAEC, but includes GCE, NECO, and their equivalent. Below are the five (5) O’Level subjects required for Agricultural Economics and Farm Management:
1). English Language.
2). Biology/Agricultural Science.
3). Chemistry.
4). Mathematics.
5). And any 1 of Geography, Physics, and Economics.

Waiver/Special Requirements
1). ESUT requires at least a pass in Physics.
2). FUTA accepts at least 5 credits at NECO or WASSCE or GCE (O/L) or its equivalent at NOT more than 2 sittings in the following subjects: Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, Agricultural Science or Biology, Economics or Geography. They also require a pass in Physics.
3). ANSU accepts 5 O’ level credit passes which must include Biology/Agricultural Science, English language, Chemistry and any 1 of Physics, Mathematics, Economics, and Geography.
4). UNICAL requires a credit pass in ‘O’ level Physics.
5). MAUTECH accepts Biology, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, and Physics/Mathematics. MAUTECH also requires 5 `O’ Level credit passes in the following subjects: Chemistry, English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Agriculture Science, Geography/ Economics and Physics.

6). FUTA and CRUTECH accept at least a pass in Physics plus UTME requirements.
7). RSUST accepts credit pass in Agricultural Science with at least a pass in Biology. They also require credit passes in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Economics.
8). LAUTECH accepts credit in Physics and Biology.
9). FUTMINNA accepts any 1 of geography, Home Economics, Physics, Economics, Food and nutrition as the fifth subject. They also require at least a pass in Physics.
10). ABSU accepts SSCE credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Biology/Agric. Science, Chemistry and one of Economics and Physics.
11). TASU accepts Statistics in lieu of Physics.
12). UNIPORT accepts any of Economics, Physics, and Geography.

JAMB Requirements to Study Agricultural Economics and Farm Management
The three (3) JAMB UTME subjects required to study Agricultural Economics and Farm Management which is under the Faculty of Agriculture in most Nigerian Universities.
1). Biology/ Agricultural Science.
2). Chemistry.
3). Mathematics or Physics.
NOTE: The JAMB cut-off mark for this course is 180 for Universities. Thus, you are to aim for 180 and above if you want to study Agricultural Economics and Farm Management in any of the Nigerian universities listed below.
Waiver/Special Requirements
1). JABU accepts a pass in Physics.
2). UNICAL and TASU require Chemistry, English Language, Biology/Agricultural Science and either Physics or Mathematics. TASU also accepts Economics.
3). FUTA requires Chemistry, English Language, Biology/Agricultural Science and either Economics or Mathematics.
Direct Entry Requirements
If you don’t intend to use UTME to apply for admission to study Agricultural Economics and Farm Management in any Nigerian University, then you must meet the requirement for direct entry candidates which is below:
- Two ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and one of Botany/Zoology/Agricultural Science/Biology, Mathematics, Geography, Physics, Geology, Health Science and Economics.

Waiver/Special Requirements
1). UNICAL accepts:
i). Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in any of Mathematics, Chemistry, Botany/Biology/ Zoology/Geology /Agricultural Science/ Geography/Economics.
ii). OND/NCE, HND at merit level. They also accept a pass in Physic but don’t accept IJMB.
2). RSUST accept HND/NCE, ND (Upper credit) at credit level in relevant subjects in addition to UTME requirements into 200 level.

3). ABSU accepts OND/HND at credit level.
4). FUAM accepts HND/OND/NCE in Agric, Agricultural Science, and Education, Home Economics, Forestry, Food Science and wildlife plus UTME requirements. Candidates with a credit in only one of Physics and Mathematics must at least have a pass in the other.
5). UNIUYO accepts HND (lower credit) OND (upper credit), NCE with merit pass in relevant fields in addition to UTME requirements.
6). BASU and EKSU accept a pass in Physics.
7). FUTA accepts:
a) OND (Upper Credit level) or equivalent professional qualifications or ‘A’ level passes at least two (2) of the following subjects, Biology, Mathematics, and Chemistry. The certificates must be from a recognized institution for admission consideration into 200 level, provided the candidate to satisfy the minimum entry requirements and have passed relevant subjects at an appropriate level.

8). EBSU requires NCE with minimum Merit passes in relevant fields or OND and HND with a minimum of Upper Credit in relevant fields.
9). MAUTECH requires any of the following:
i). `A’ Level credit passes in English, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, and Chemistry.
ii). HND with overall credit in addition to a credit pass in English, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology/Agricultural Science.
10). LAUTECH accepts ND with Upper Credit/NCE/HND at Credit Level in relevant subjects in addition to UTME requirements for admission consideration into 200 Level.

11). TASU accepts the following in addition to UTME requirement:
i). NCE (merit) and ND (lower credit) may be admitted to 200 levels.
ii). NCE (Distinction) and HND (upper) may be admitted to 300 level.
iii). ‘A’ passes which must include Chemistry and any of Agriculture Science, Economics, and Biology may be admitted to 200 levels.
