O’Level Subjects and Requirements
You are required to have five (5) SSC credit passes in the required O’level subjects needed to study Agronomy. Below is the NECO, GCE, and WAEC subject combination for Agronomy:
1). Biology
2). Chemistry
3). English Language
4). Mathematics
5). Geography or Economics.
WAIVER/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
1). UNIOSUN accepts 5 SSC credit passes or its equivalent at not more than 2 sittings plus an acceptable score in UTME.
2). LAUTECH accepts 5 ‘O’ level credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Biology, or Agricultural Science.
3). ESUTECH accepts ‘O’ level pass in Physics.
4). CRUTECH accepts at least an ‘O’ level pass in Physics in addition to UTME requirements.
5). TASU requires 5 credit passes in Agricultural Science or Biology, Chemistry, English Language, Mathematics, and one in Physics, Economics, or Geography. UTME requirements with an ‘O’ level pass in Physics are also acceptable.
6). MOUA requires 5 ‘O’ level credit passes at not more than 2 sittings which must include Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, Agricultural Science or Biology, and any other Science subjects. Also, candidates with credit in Agricultural Science must have an ‘O’ level pass in Biology
7). FUAM requires 5 credit passes in Agriculture Science or Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, English Language, or any other Science subjects. ‘O’ level pass in Physics is also acceptable.

JAMB UTME Subject Combination for Agronomy
First of all, you must note that the JAMB cut-off mark for this course is 180 for Universities. What this means is that if you score anything below 180, then you will not be qualified to study this course at any Nigerian University via UTME. There are three (3) subjects you will meet in your JAMB UTME examination and you can find them below:
1). Biology or Agriculture
2). Chemistry
3). Mathematics or Physics.
WAIVER/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
1). UNIOSUN requires Agriculture/Biology, Chemistry, and any other science subject.
2). CRUTECH requires Physics, Mathematics, and any Chemistry or Biology.

Direct Entry Requirements
If you don’t intend to use UTME to apply to study this course at any Nigerian University, then you must ensure that you meet the Direct Entry Admission Requirement for Agronomy which is under the faculty of agriculture.
- Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Biology/Chemistry/Botany/Agricultural Science/Zoology in addition to one of Physics/Mathematics and Economics/Geology.
WAIVER/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
1). UNIOSUN requires 2 ‘A’ level credit passes in Chemistry and 1 from Agriculture, Biology, Physics, Mathematics, and Geography.
2). TASU accepts ND credit in Crop Production Technology in addition to UTME requirements.
3). LAUTECH accepts ND with upper credit/HND/NCE at credit level in relevant subjects, in addition to the UTME requirements.
4). FUAM requires;
i). Two (2) `A’ level passes in any of Chemistry and Agricultural Science/Biology/Zoology/Botany or Mathematics, (Pure & Applied) Physics, Economics, and Geology.
ii). NCE/ND/HND merit/credit in Agriculture.
