WAIVER FOR LAW.

While we might have listed the compulsory subjects for law, there are still universities in Nigeria that have special demands for those who wants to study Law in their institution. For instance, while English Language is a compulsory subject for law, any University in Nigeria may decide they Physis instead. In a situation like this, the demand of the University supersedes every other demand. Below is the list of Universities and their Waivers/special demands.

  • NAU and AAU accept one credit in a subject from Sciences and a pass in Mathematics.
  • ESUTECH accepts a credit pass in Mathematics or any other science subject.
  • UNIJOS doesn’t actually require a pass in Maths but they accept it.
  • UI accepts credits in Sciences.
  • UNIBEN, UNILORIN, OAU, AAU, UNN, BU all accept English literature and any other two subjects.
  • UNILAG does not accept credits in Music, Fine Arts or Accounting. But they accept Commerce or Economics but not the two.
  • UMYU, ABUAD, and NDU require credit passes in Maths and other subjects from Arts.
  • UNILAG, UNIUYO, MADONNA, UNIBEN all require a credit pass in Maths.
  • ABU and DELSU both accept Literature and English Language in addition to any other Social Science or Arts subjects in the combinations.
