January 10th School Resumption Date Under Review
The Federal government while still reviewing the school resumption date has also given reasons why the country is not able to produce COVID-19 vaccines, blaming it on the past years of not properly investing on the Nigerian health sector. They also admonished every state and their schools to abide by the government rules because no state is immune to the virus.
The government also announced its plans to issue out RDTKs (Rapid Diagnostic Test Kits) to five different tertiary health institutions in the state capital, Abuja.
Dr Sani Aliyu who is the Protocol review National Coordinator of the Taskforce, also noted that the PTF is going to be reviewing the safety protocols very soon and will be targeting those nightcrawlers who are going around violating the present safety precautions. He mentioned this while stating that the hospital beds are fast filling up due to the bridge in measures to curtail the Covid-19 pandemic.
The federal government also stated that once they have completed the safety protocol review, an announcement will follow immediately.
