Finance – Under the Faculty of Administration
Below are the various requirements for finance under the faculty of administration.
JAMB Subject Combination for Finance
Please note that English Language is compulsory for this course. Below are the three (3) JAMB UTME subjects required to study Finance as a course.
1). Economics.
2). Mathematics.
3). Anyone of Geography or Government.
O’Level Subjects & Requirements for Finance
You are required to have five (5) SSC credit passes in the required O’level subjects. Below are the O’level subjects required to study finance.
1). Mathematics.
2). English Language.
3). And any other three (3) relevant subjects. For NBC, the other two (2) relevant subjects can be taken from any of the following; Principles of Accounts, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, and Office Practice.
WAIVER/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
i). AUN doesn’t accept ‘O’ level credit passes in the following subjects; Food and Nutrition, Agriculture, Home Economics, Home Management, Home Craft, Physical Education, Book Keeping, Music, Commerce, Accounting, Physical and Health Education, Financial Accounting, History, Kiswahili, Igbo, Religious Studies, Islamic Studies, Tajweed, Library Studies, Diction, Arabic, Hausa, Yoruba, Study Skills, Turkish.
ii). UNILAG requires ‘O’ level credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Economics, and any two (2) of Commerce, Government, Physics, Geography, Financial Accounting, Biology, Chemistry, Business Management, and Book Keeping.
iii). AUN requires five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes which must include Mathematics, English Language, and any other three (3) subjects from the following subjects: Geography, Government, Further Mathematics, History, Economics, Literature in English, Visual Arts, Computer Studies, Technical Drawing, Information Technology, Civics, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Biology, French, and Physics.
Direct Entry Admission Requirement:
- Two (2) A Level passes from Management, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, and Geography.
WAIVER/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
1). UNILAG accepts three (3) very good passes in JUPEB/A-LEVEL subjects which must include Economics and any other two (2) subjects from Business Studies, Financial Accounting, Government, Mathematics, and Geography.

Just as we mentioned above, English Language is compulsory in UTME for this course. Below are the other three (3) required subjects:
1). Economics.
2). Mathematics.
3). And any other Social Science subject.
O’Level Subjects for Finance
Just like we mentioned above, you are required to possess five (5) SSC credit passes in the required O’Level subjects which apply to both NECO, GCE, WAEC, and equivalent.
1). Mathematics.
2). English Language.
3). Economics
4). And two (2) other relevant subjects.
Finance Direct Entry Admission Requirements
- Two (2) A Level passes which must include Economics.

2). One (1) Social Science subject
3). And any other subject.
UTME Requirement:
You are expected to have not less than five (5) SSC credit passes in the following subjects:
1). Economics.
2). English Language.
3). Mathematics
4). And two (2) other relevant subjects.
Direct Entry Admission Requirement:
a). ND credit.
b). NCE merit in relevant subjects.
c). Foundation International exams such as GPFA, ACCA, ICAN, and ICMA.
d). Two (2) A Level passes in Economics or Accounting and one other subject.
