Admission Requirements for Covenant University

Below you will find both the JAMB requirement and O’Level subject combination for required for each of the courses listed below.

JAMB REQUIREMENTS

One of the requirements for students to gain admission into Covenant University is for them to reach the JAMB UTME examination cut-off mark. You must ensure you have the right subject combination for each of the courses you are applying for. If in the future you decide you want a change of course, then you will have to direct your application to JAMB.

A). Requirements for Accounting:

Accounting is a 4 years course for Degree in B.Sc. You are required to have not less than five credit passes in the following O’Level subjects:

1). Mathematics,
2). English Language
3). Economics
4). And any two (2) Commercial, Social science or Science Subjects.

B). Banking and Finance

Banking and Finance is a 4 years course for Degree in B.Sc.is a 4 years course for Degree in B.Sc. If you intend to study Banking and Finance, then you are required to have not less than five credit passes in the following O’Level subjects:

1). English Language
2). Mathematics
3). Economics
4). Any two (2) Commercial, Social science or Science Subjects.

C). Business Administration

If you intend to study Business Administration, then you are required to have not less than five credit passes in the following O’Level subjects:

1). Mathematics
2). English Language
3). Economics
4). Any two (2) Commercial, Social science or Science Subjects.

D). Economics

If you intend to study Economics, then you are required to have not less than five credit passes in the following O’Level subjects:

1). Economics
2). English Language
3). Mathematics
4). Any two (2) Commercial, Social science or Science Subjects.

E). Marketing

If you intend to study Marketing, then you are required to have not less than five credit passes in the following O’Level subjects:

1). Mathematics
2). English Language
3). Economics
4). Commerce
5). Anyone (1) Commercial, Social science or Science Subjects.

F). Industrial Relation and Human Resource Management

If you intend to study Industrial Relation and Human Resource Management, then you are required to have not less than five credit passes in the following O’Level subjects:

1). Mathematics
2). English Language
3). Economics
4). Any Two (2) Commercial, Social science or Science Subjects.

G). Mass Communication

B.Sc in Mass Communication duration is 4 years. If you intend to study Mass Communication (with option Journalism and Online Mass Communication and Broadcast), then you are required to have not less than five (5) credit passes in the following O’Level subjects:

1). English Language
2). Mathematics
3). Literature-in-English
4). CRS
5). Anyone (1) Commercial, Social science or Science Subjects.

H). Sociology

The duration to optain a B.Sc in Sociology is 4 years. If you intend to study Sociology, then you are required to have not less than five (5) credit passes in the following O’Level subjects:

1). Mathematics.

2). English Language.

3). And any three (3) Commercial, Social Science or Arts  Subjects in any of the following subjects;

General O’Level Requirements

The general requirement for admission into CU (Covenant University) are 5 credit passes in your SSCE/GCE O’Level/NECO/NABTEB subjects or its equivalent in not more than 2 sittings. The subjects must include Mathematics and Use of English Language. Also, note that there are other requirements that may be needed for a particular college and/or a Department.
