WAIVER/SPECIAL CONSIDERATION

• UI requires five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes either at 1 sitting or 6 ‘O’ level credit passes at two (2) sittings and the subjects must include Literature in English, English Language, and any other three (3) or four (4) subjects from Social Sciences, Arts or Sciences. Note that Economics and Government are not Arts subjects.

JAMB Subject combination for Communication and Language Arts Education

• Any three (3) of Literature in English, Yoruba, Christian Religious studies, Economics, Islamic Studies, and History.

Direct Entry Admission Requirement for Communication and Language Arts Education

• Two (2) relevant NCE/A Level passes.

WAIVER/SPECIAL CONSIDERATION

UI accepts ND upper credit in Mass Communication in addition to an ‘O’ level credit pass in Literature in English. They also accept two (2) ‘A’ level passes to include Literature in English and 1 other Social Science or Arts subject.
